Book Club Field Trip

Join us for our first-ever book club field trip to the Pryor Mountain Mustang Sanctuary outside of Billings, MT, on July 13. The center will provide a brief presentation, followed by a self-guided tour to see the site and horses.

Last fall, we delved into "Desert Chrome" by Kathryn Wilder, a powerful narrative intertwining grief, motherhood, and a return to the desert. Wilder's story on the Colorado Plateau, bordering a mustang herd, celebrates America's mustangs and explores ways to protect them and their habitats in the arid West.

Inspired by these themes and our love for horses, we decided to organize this field trip to experience firsthand the sanctuary's connection to the natural world and the wild mustangs that inhabit it.

Details:

  • Flexible Half-Day Event

  • Start Time: 10 AM MST

  • Meeting Location: Pryor Mountain Wild Mustang Center, 1106 Rd 12, Lovell, WY 82431

The Pryor Mountain Wild Mustang Center is located just east of Lovell, Wyoming, on Highway 14A. It is situated east of the Cal S. Taggart Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area Visitor Center.

We're delighted to offer this event at no cost!

Just a friendly reminder to pack your own lunch and snacks and arrange your transportation to and from the center (we encourage bringing a friend and carpooling).

We can't wait to spend the day with you!

IG Live Facilitator Series

We’re getting into the gathering season-be sure to join us via Instagram live across the months of April + May, where we’ll introduce you to all the amazing women leading and hosting sessions in 2024. We are a bunch of ranchers and social media “influencing” isn’t really our thing, but we are going to have fun with it and hope you will plan to join us on Wednesdays at 12pm MST starting April 3rd!
