UNDERSTANDING FORAGE AVAILABILITY

This session will start out by making sure that everyone is familiar and comfortable with the terms that are used to describe forage availability and livestock demand when grazing. The session will teach participants to use Rangeland Analysis Platform’s Production Explorer to determine average yearly production for a specific pasture. We will go through one pasture together, and then participants will have the opportunity to do a take home exercise with information provided by Caroline to practice what we learned during the session.
