BUILDING A GRAZING PLAN

This session will cover how to build a grazing plan in Excel using the information that we learned in the previous session. How do the number of animals, type and production stage of those animals, and the available forage in a pasture or on a ranch fit together to create a grazing plan? We will work through putting this information together in one spot, and participants will leave with a simple grazing template that they can use to help shape their grazing plan for the year. We will also briefly cover how participants can use other ways to measure forage production, and how that information can fit into a grazing plan.
